According to a tourist sector representative on Tuesday, Turkey midterm reservation has increased by almost 15% over the previous year due to the country’s growing popularity for thermal and ski resorts.
Mehmet Işler, the deputy chairperson of the Turkish Hoteliers Federation (TÜROFED), emphasized that the midterm break, which follows the New Year holidays, caused a tourism surge inside the country and that the facilities undertook required preparations during this period.
In an interview with Anadolu Agency (AA), Işler stated that nearly every tourist attraction had a full schedule for the New Year, indicating a successful conclusion for 2023. Işler reiterated the 15% increase in bookings.
“During this time, ski resorts and thermal facilities get the most attention. Our break for the semester is going great already. Our most valuable assets during the midterm break are the kids. We give the kids access to dedicated study spaces, games, music, and group entertainment possibilities.”

In addition, he emphasized the remarkable volume of bookings on the part of Turkey midterm reservation, particularly in the thermal facilities and ski resorts of Uludağ and Palandöken. Işler stated,
“In particular, reservations are still being accepted for the upcoming midterm break in various destinations, including the Sapanca region near Istanbul, Uludağ in Bursa, thermal facilities in Denizli and Afyonkarahisar, as well as coastal facilities in the Aegean and Mediterranean regions.”
